SFU045 – ESHAS – Self Titled 7″
Initially Eshas was to be a one time collaboration between old friends Robert Fish and Aaron Edge with a song recorded between bedrooms in Seattle and Portland. After creating music in some very memorable bands over the last two decades; 108, Himsa, The Judas Factor, Ressurection and Iamthethorn, amongst others, it only made sense that one day the two friends would create something together. However one song in and Eshas, the band, was born. Eshas is music outpoured so haphazardly, so unrefined, that it cannot be mistaken for anything but the guttural cry of those who demand more from their music than catchy hooks and rehashed tragicomic metal.

SFU047 – INK AND DAGGER – Love Is Dead 7″

Ink and Dagger need no introduction. Forming in 1996 they quickly changed the landscape of the Philadelphia music scene and of hardcore in general. From a post Sean McCabe made on AMH in August of 1996:
“Without getting too deep, the purpose of the band is to breathe life into punk rock again. I mention punk rock because hardcore is deeply rooted into such structure as Punk. We recognize punk to be in a state of limbo; a hovering of sorts, almost purgatory like. We, drawing our energies from the dark side of life, and reprimanding ourselves for being the revolutionist, the rebellious, and henceforth, the “devil children”. We in no way implicate any sort of devil worshiping or 666 bullshit. That’s better left for slayer and bloodlet. Instead we intend to compare and contrast our ideas with that of the new Vampire Ethic, meaning not the age old axioms of horror movies but the New Vampires, who instead of a thirst for blood, crave instead energy. This “energy” exists all around us, with our shows, with our conversations, and expands any boundaries, be in Punk rock or day to day living. To recognize and manipulate this energy is very important, as we must remember, we associating ourself with the punk rock, need to also keep in mind the revolutionist actions. This is a war, and we need to be prepared. It’s obvious that punk has lost some of its edge, some of its controversy, and we intend on bringing it back, to coin a phrase. We intend to encourage all involved to be in knowledge of their abilities to control energy, and hence be able to accomplish anything they want to. We, also believing in our energy, intend to stop at nothing with our music and our message, be it basements or arenas. We also want these Future Vampires to realize what we have is so valuable, and our thoughts and our actions should be kept clandestine from those not in the Knowing of Energy, so that our goals as a faction may be accomplished. We want only to point out this transference of energy in every day living, what happens with this energy after that we need not know about. we would hope that it be used for positive actions, instead of those Vampires associated with Politics, who deem themselves in control and addicted to the energy that only a World Leader can know while having millions die at their hands every year. We grab your attention with our stage presences, be in with makeup, candles, lights, blood, whatever. We scream loud with our personas, so that you will turn and look. Once you look, you will be drawn in, and once you recognize, you will know. ”
Their debut ep “Love Is Dead” remains the classic core of their songbase and is now available again as a limited repress 7″.

While the voice has stayed the same, the lyrics have changed and represent a man who wants people to take control of their actions, stop hiding behind names and labels and live life for themselves and not what others think its cool to be. The music is exactly what it should be. Heavy riffs and melodic hooks that will captivate new and old fans alike.
All copies will be numbered on the back with surgical markers by Eddie Sutton with the first 300 being on a limited color.
